A Newbie’s Journey Into 21st Century Teaching

Teaching with Technology - I’m taking my first baby steps into 21^st technology with Web 2.0 applications; feeling a bit intimidated, but eager to venture past the traditional skills of just surfing the internet for webs containing information.  I’m preparing to dive into the virtual worlds of cyber space and begin interacting, socializing, collaborating, creating, contributing, teaching and learning, communicating and sharing information with the help of Web 2.0 tools.  Most kids today use technology/social networks with ease and on a regular basis.  If I am to be a proficient 21^st century teacher, I have to keep up with my 21^st century students.
